If you are working on a bachelor, master or doctorate degree and you are Latino, you are eligible to receive scholarships for Latino college students.
This is not the only criteria of course you have to apply and meet other requirements but it sure does narrow it down to Latinos.
There are wealth of scholarship information on the web today that there is no excuse why Latinos are not entering college and finishing like other students. Too often Latinos start their higher education at the junior college level and never finish past two years. It cannot be a financial matter because there is money available.
Indeed money is available for students like you who are Latino. You must be willing to do a little work though. Not physical but more mental. You must be able to write to a board of people. These are the people who will approve your application and send money to the school of your choice. You must do research on the scholarship itself and find out what they are about and integrate that knowledge into you writing style.
Grant writing is crucial for Latinos because it is basically asking for money. Just like people who do not open their mouths don't eat. People who do not ask for money usually do not receive any. So sit back in the sidelines and watch people who are on the field or throw a number on your back and get in the game.
Just like credit, you must have your name in the system for people to send you scholarship applications. Every application you fill out could be worth hundreds if not thousands every semester.
So start by adding your info into the Fastweb database and write down names of Hispanic Grants that are available. My degree was paid for by Hispanic Scholarships.
